Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, India. It is located in the Baba Budan Giri Range. With a height of 1930 m (6317 ft.), it is the hightest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris. Mullayanagiri is located in the Chikkamagalur district of Karanataka.
Reaching Chickamagalur is easy in the A/C and non-A/C buses run by KSRTC. From Chickamagalur its only 15km away and there are private buses going through the base of the mountain. If you are driving you can take your vehicle about 0.5km close to the summit. The trekking starts from a bus stop called Sarpadhari and its a 4km trek with no forks on the way. The major landmarks on the trek path are a small stream,a Nandi statue and a cave with a small water source inside.
